What should you check before importing to India?

Vehicles must meet Central Motor Vehicles Rules; type approval testing is carried out by agencies such as ARAI.
Customs duty on completely built units is administered by the Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs.
Confirm with the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways or your consultant whether your import route is permitted before paying a deposit.
